In his haste to prove Chris Harper-Mercer was anything but a non-religious conservative Republican, Chuck C. Johnson has fallen for yet another hoax, His blog has a post screaming “BREAKING, EXCLUSIVE” that Harper-Mercer was a communist and a pill popper.
But the evidence he’s using is a Facebook page that was updated a day after Harper-Mercer died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound Thursday.
There has been much speculation about the social media profiles of Chris Harper-Mercer, the now dead (and non-Muslim) 26-year-old shooter at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, OR.
Using the very latest in online forensic research (Google cache), GotNwes has determined that Harper-Mercer is undead and has been updating his Facebook profile from the county morgue.
Harper-Mercer died Thursday of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police in Roseburg said. Yet, the very next day, he changed the name on his Facebook page (/unicornwhisperR) from “Chris Harper-Mercer (Chrissy Fu)” to “Chris Figgalopola (Chrissy Fu).”
On the Figgalopola page, he lists his political views as “Communist Party of the Soviet Union” and languages spoken as “Klingon, Pig Latin and Sanskrit.” He also hopes to be a “future bad ass unicorn jockey.”
